1、
One of my favourite reveals from last week's Pocket Gamer LaunchPad was the confirmation that zombie-survival-but-also-you're-a-parent title Undying would be coming to mobile devices over the next twelve months.

I've been enamoured with the game since I first spotted it a few years back while at Gamescom in 2018. The game was being showcased on the Giant Games stand, where they were also demoing Night of the Full Moon, Pascal's Wager, Heterotopias and Project Dunk. The Undying booth really stood out from the rest due to how heavily the imagery played on the relationship between protagonists Anling and Cody.

It all starts out with Anling being bitten, infected by one of the many undead that now wanders the world. For Anling it is no longer about getting away from the undead to create a new life, and a new society, it is instead about keeping her son, Cody, safe so that he can survive when she is gone. She'll do that by not only scavenging, crafting and defending Cody but by teaching him how to survive himself.

3、
PDP, purveyors of assorted video game peripherals, just revealed three new GameCube-inspired controllers for Switch, just in time for the launch of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The GameCube controller is the controller of choice for many Smash Bros. players, and Nintendo’s releasing a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate-themed GameCube controller of its own. However, these new third-party controllers will offer some tempting alternatives (plus, you’ll want enough to play with friends, obviously).

The controllers are decked out in Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon regalia, and will be releasing the same day as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, conveniently enough. They feature a 10-foot USB controller, and you’ll be able to swap out the smaller C-Stick for a full-sized stick.

You can pre-order the controllers on Amazon in the US, but no news yet on the UK or mainland Europe.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (and the aforementioned controllers) launches on December 7. We were lucky enough to give the game a quick preview, and we feel it’s shaping up to be one of the best entries in the series.

Zynga has launched its free to play multiplayer strategy game Empires & Allies on iOS and Android.

As we explained in our review, Empires & Allies can easily be summed up as "Clash of Clans by way of Command and Conquer."

That's no bad thing, mind. After all, we did give it a Silver Award, stating that it's a "solidly put together, entertaining midcore strategy battler."

The idea here, if it's not clear yet, is to build a base and grow an army of tanks, helicopters, and artillery to defend it. That's half of the game.

The other half involves getting into fights with other players and trying to destroy their base. You can send in airstrikes and rockets to deal the bigger damage while your troops nibble away at buildings.
