What were the best games of last year? That's what we're trying to determine, muchachos. And we need your help.

That's why the Pocket Gamer Awards 2015, which celebrate the finest examples of portable play, are now live.

We've been doing these for six years and if you've been with us a while you probably know the drill: We select the finalists, but you pick the winners by voting for your favourites.

Where can you do this? Right here, friends.

You have until midnight on Friday February 27th. After that we'll count everything up and announce the winners just a few days later at a special event held during GDC (at which time we'll obviously publish the results on Pocket Gamer, too).

That's it. Now go celebrate greatness and thanks for getting involved.

    They were married in the sunshine of the old orchard, circled by the loving and kindly faces of long-familiar friends. Mr. Allan married them, and the Reverend Jo made what Mrs. Rachel Lynde afterwards pronounced to be the "most beautiful wedding prayer" she had ever heard. Birds do not often sing in September, but one sang sweetly from some hidden bough while Gilbert and Anne repeated their deathless vows. Anne heard it and thrilled to it; Gilbert heard it, and wondered only that all the birds in the world had not burst into jubilant song; Paul heard it and later wrote a lyric about it which was one of the most admired in his first volume of verse; Charlotta the Fourth heard it and was blissfully sure it meant good luck for her adored Miss Shirley. The bird sang until the ceremony was ended and then it wound up with one mad little, glad little trill. Never had the old gray-green house among its enfolding orchards known a blither, merrier afternoon. All the old jests and quips that must have done duty at weddings since Eden were served up, and seemed as new and brilliant and mirth-provoking as if they had never been uttered before. Laughter and joy had their way; and when Anne and Gilbert left to catch the Carmody train, with Paul as driver, the twins were ready with rice and old shoes, in the throwing of which Charlotta the Fourth and Mr. Harrison bore a valiant part. Marilla stood at the gate and watched the carriage out of sight down the long lane with its banks of goldenrod. Anne turned at its end to wave her last good-bye. She was gone--Green Gables was her home no more; Marilla's face looked very gray and old as she turned to the house which Anne had filled for fourteen years, and even in her absence, with light and life.

    O, that sad breath his spongy lungs bestowed,Of stale example? When thou wilt inflame,
Temple Toad is quite definitely one of those games. One of those games where you die awfully quickly and post your feeble score of 7 to Twitter like a badge of honour. A game like Flappy Bird and Mr Jump and Swing Copters.

But, it's no clone. (Or, at least, I don't think it is). Instead, it has a unique little platforming mechanic that makes it feel very different than all the other games of its ilk.

Here's how it works. When your frog lands on a platform, he'll repeatedly bounce into the air. A little trajectory line shows that as he hits the peak of his jump, he'll be able to jump the farthest - and his jump arc gets smaller and smaller as he falls.

This means that you need to carefully time each tap of the touchscreen to get the maximum leap - or to do a deliberately tiny hop if you want to reposition yourself.

It reminds me of the power meter in a golf game - and it gives the game an odd, but unique rhythm as you wait - then jump - then wait - then jump. But you can't wait for too long as a wall of spikes closes in on your froggy butt.

You'll soon face crumbling platforms and moving platforms and platforms that encourage you to pause for a few seconds by adding more points for each static bounce.

It's also gorgeous with detailed pixel art graphics. What I'm saying is, if you like these ferociously hard platformers and you need a new one, Temple Toad is your next jam.

It's free on iOS and Android, with ads and a pay-to-revive system that, well, let's pretend doesn't exist.

    Clash of Stickman(Unlimited Money)&#;
Outcast Odyssey players have got the chance to grab cards based around fighters and weapons from the SoulCalibur series – but they’re only available until the 7th of September.

The newly added SoulCalibur cards include 8 legendary heroes – Ivy, Mitsurugi, Voldo, Maxi, Kilik, Siegfried, Nightmare, and Astaroth – as well as the SoulCalibur and Soul Edge swords.

These extras can be won as part of rewards from evens, or you can just purchase them through the in-game store.

An RPG Card Battler with rogue like elements, Outcast Odyssey has you exploring a game world boasting over 40 islands and 300 cards – with a range of foes to battle to boot.

These beasts and enemies can then be vanquished using the various powers from the hundreds of hand-drawn cards you’ve collected.

You can combine and master special abilities to create the ultimate deck, and there’s a PvP mode that allows you to compete against other players if you grow tired of the single player adventure.

So to have a chance to use these SoulCalibur cards against your enemies be sure to download Outcast Odyssey on iOS [download] or Android [download] for free now.

    And makes her absence valiant, not her might.&#;

Grand Mountain Adventure exceeded all expectations when it first arrived on the scene last year. Beautiful to behold, polished to a shine, and a joy to play, it very quickly became one of my go-to extreme sports games on mobile.

Since then, it's received regular updates and content drops that have further refined and fleshed out the core experience. Now, a major winter update is on the way that's set to introduce local multiplayer and several all-new mountains to master.

Once the update lands, you'll be able to connect to the same Wi-Fi as your friends or family and start shredding together. Multiplayer will be cross-device, meaning iOS & Android users can play together. Up to 16 players can compete at the same time, and there'll even be new multiplayer challenges to tackle that see you racing together, throwing snowballs, and placing rails for each other in a tricky battle mode.
'"The diamond? why, 'twas beautiful and hard,&#;
